Gold prices fell on 18 Nov as the dollar strengthened; 24k gold hovered around ₹1.21 lakh per 10g across major cities. Silver prices also declined.

Gold prices slipped during early trade on 18 November as a stronger dollar and negative global sentiment weighed on the market.
According to India Bullion data (10:11 AM):

  • 24k gold: ₹1,21,780/10g
  • 22k gold: ₹1,11,632/10g
  • Silver: ₹1,52,370/kg (999 fine)

Gold Price Growth Over the Years

Gold has grown significantly over the last two decades.

  • In 2005, gold was priced at ₹7,638/10g.
  • By 2025 (September), it crossed ₹1,25,000/10g, marking a 1,200% rise.
  • Gold has delivered positive returns in 16 out of 20 years.
  • Year-to-date (YTD) gains stand at 56%.
