Closing Bell: Sensex, Nifty Closed in Red; Hindalco Leads Gainers on November 18

On November 18, 2024, both the BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty50 ended the day in red. The BSE Sensex closed at 77,339.01, down by 241.30 points or 0.31%. Similarly, the Nifty50 also closed at 23,453.80, down by 78.90 points or 0.34%.
Sectoral Performance
On Monday, Nifty Metal, Nifty FMCG and Nifty PSU Bank ended in green. Nifty IT, Nifty Oil & Gas and Nifty Media ended in the red. Nifty IT and Nifty Oil & Gas dropped by more than 1.5%.
Top Gainers and Losers
On Monday, the top gainers on the Nifty include Hindalco Industries, Hero MotoCorp and Tata Steel. In contrast, the losers were Tata Consultancy Services, Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories and Infosys.
