About SFC Environmental Technologies Limited

SFC Environmental Technologies Limited is an integrated environmental engineering company engaged in providing solutions across wastewater treatment (WWT), wastewater recycling and reuse (WRR), and solid waste treatment (SWT). The company delivers services through the entire project lifecycle, including design, engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, operation, and maintenance of environmental infrastructure projects.

The company has established itself as a key player in India's water and waste management sector, with expertise in wastewater treatment technologies, particularly Sequencing Batch Reactor (SBR) technology. As of August 31, 2026, it had facilitated the installation of 728 wastewater treatment plants with an aggregate treatment capacity exceeding 17,511 million litres per day (MLD).

SFC Environmental also operates in the wastewater recycling and reuse segment, where it develops advanced treatment systems that enable treated water to be reused for industrial and municipal purposes. This segment supports increasing demand for sustainable water management and conservation solutions across India.

In the solid waste treatment business, the company undertakes integrated municipal solid waste management projects and operates waste processing facilities. Its operations include solid waste collection, segregation, treatment, processing, and disposal solutions, supporting urban local bodies in managing growing waste volumes efficiently.

As of August 31, 2026, the company had a consolidated order book of ₹16,566.43 million across its business segments, providing revenue visibility for future periods. The company’s growth strategy focuses on expanding its footprint in environmental infrastructure, strengthening its recycling and reuse capabilities, increasing participation in waste-to-energy and biofuel opportunities, and leveraging its technical expertise to capitalize on India’s growing investments in water and waste management infrastructure.

Industry Outlook

  • India's water and wastewater management sector is witnessing significant growth due to rapid urbanization, industrial expansion, increasing population, and rising concerns regarding water scarcity and environmental sustainability.
  • Government programmes such as the Jal Jeevan Mission, AMRUT, Namami Gange Programme, and Smart Cities Mission continue to drive investments in water supply, sewage treatment, and wastewater management infrastructure across the country.
  • Wastewater recycling and reuse are becoming increasingly important as industries and municipalities seek sustainable water sources, creating substantial opportunities for advanced treatment and reclamation technologies.
  • Municipal solid waste generation in India continues to rise due to growing urbanization, leading to increased demand for scientific waste processing, recycling, composting, and waste-to-energy solutions.
  • Stricter environmental regulations and pollution control standards are encouraging industries and urban local bodies to invest in modern wastewater treatment and solid waste management infrastructure.
  • Public-private partnership models are gaining prominence in environmental infrastructure projects, enabling specialized companies to participate in the development, operation, and maintenance of water and waste management facilities.
