About Polite Powertech Limited

Polite Powertech Limited is an integrated power infrastructure engineering, procurement, and construction company engaged in the design, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of power transmission, distribution, and renewable energy projects across India. The company’s business roots trace back to M/s. Patel Electricals, a proprietary firm established in 2006 by promoter Yogeshkumar Narottambhai Patel. Polite Powertech Private Limited was incorporated in 2023 and subsequently acquired the business of M/s. Patel Electricals as a going concern through a Business Transfer Agreement dated January 6, 2024, with effect from December 31, 2023.

The company provides integrated engineering, procurement, and construction solutions across high-voltage and extra-high-voltage transmission lines, underground and overhead cabling networks, solar engineering, procurement, and construction projects, air-insulated substations, and gas-insulated substations. Its business model is broadly divided into supply activities, comprising the procurement and supply of electrical equipment, cables, conductors, and other project materials, and service activities covering engineering, installation, erection, testing, and commissioning of electrical infrastructure projects.

Polite Powertech undertakes projects for state government utilities, public sector undertakings, and private sector entities. The company has executed extra-high-voltage transmission projects up to 220 kilovolts and distribution network projects up to 33 kilovolts, including overhead and underground networks under schemes such as the Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme and other grid-modernisation initiatives. Its operations are supported by in-house engineering capabilities, an experienced project management team, and a vendor network.

The company has developed capabilities across several business verticals, including underground cabling, distribution transmission lines, air-insulated substations, gas-insulated substations, fibre-reinforced polymer fencing, and solar engineering, procurement, and construction projects. As of December 31, 2025, it had completed 63 underground cabling projects and had 24 ongoing underground cabling projects with a basic contract value of ₹12,594.87 lakh. Its solar engineering, procurement, and construction capabilities cover ground-mounted and rooftop solar power plants across utility-scale, commercial, and industrial applications.

Polite Powertech has expanded its operations beyond Gujarat and, as of December 31, 2025, had an operational presence across Gujarat, Maharashtra, West Bengal, Haryana, Bihar, and the Union Territory of Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu. The company reported revenue from operations of ₹15,563.01 lakh in Financial Year 2025, compared with ₹2,464.87 lakh in Financial Year 2024, while its unexecuted order book as of December 31, 2025, comprised 39 projects amounting to ₹31,356.19 lakh. It is also an approved contractor for electrification works for Gujarat Energy Transmission Corporation Limited and undertakes projects for various public sector undertakings.

The company holds certifications for quality, occupational health and safety, environmental management, and energy management, including International Organization for Standardization 9001:2015, International Organization for Standardization 45001:2018, International Organization for Standardization 14001:2015, and International Organization for Standardization 50001:2018. These certifications cover activities including the supply, erection, testing, and commissioning of extra-high-voltage transmission lines and substations, operation and maintenance of substations, and underground cable-laying works.

Industry Outlook

  • India’s transmission EPC market is projected to grow at a 6.75% CAGR from CY2025 to CY2030, supported by grid upgrades and the expansion of railway electrification.
  • The Government’s National Electricity Plan envisages ₹9.15 lakh crore of investment in transmission systems through FY2032, targeting a rise in transmission lines from 4.91 lakh circuit kilometers in FY2024 to 6.48 lakh circuit kilometers by FY2032.
  • Transformation capacity is expected to increase from 1,290 GVA in FY2024 to 2,342 GVA by FY2032, while high-voltage direct current capacity is targeted to increase by 33.25 GW, creating opportunities for transmission and substation EPC players.
  • India’s transmission infrastructure is expected to see higher additions, with 15,382 circuit kilometers planned for FY2026, nearly twice the 8,830 circuit kilometers added in FY2025, with greater emphasis on renewable energy evacuation and 765 kilovolt networks.
  • India’s 500 GW non-fossil fuel capacity target by 2030 is driving investments in green transmission infrastructure, with around 50,890 circuit kilometers of transmission lines and 4,33,575 MVA of substation capacity planned for renewable energy integration.
  • Green transmission investments required for integrating additional renewable capacity are estimated at around ₹2.44 lakh crore, including ₹2.16 lakh crore for new onshore solar and wind projects and ₹28,100 crore for offshore wind integration.
  • India’s grid-connected solar capacity increased from 28.2 GW in FY2019 to 100.9 GW in FY2025, while the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy plans around 50 GW of renewable energy bids annually from FY2024 to FY2028, supporting demand for solar EPC services.
  • Solar engineering, procurement, and construction investment is estimated at ₹3.3–3.6 trillion between FY2026 and FY2030, with EPC typically accounting for 30–35% of solar project capital expenditure, creating a sizeable opportunity for integrated power infrastructure contractors.

Risks and Threats of Polite Powertech IPO

  1. The company’s revenues depend significantly on its ability to qualify for, participate in, and win competitive tenders; delays in project awards, failure to secure bids, or changes in eligibility criteria could adversely affect order inflows and financial performance.
  2. Polite Powertech has a high geographic concentration in Gujarat, with 98.87% of revenue in H1 FY26 generated from the state and 106 of its 113 completed projects located there as of December 31, 2025.
  3. The company has significant customer concentration, with its top 10 customers contributing 96.89% of H1 FY26 revenue, while its largest customer accounted for 35.00%, creating dependence on a limited customer base.
  4. A substantial 82.41% of the order book as of December 31, 2025, was derived from PSU tenders, making order inflows and contract continuity sensitive to changes or delays in PSU tendering and procurement policies.
  5. The company operates in a working-capital-intensive business, requiring upfront spending on materials, labour, mobilisation, and subcontractors, while customer payments are generally received based on project milestones and certifications.
  6. Trade receivables increased to ₹7,047.86 lakh as of September 30, 2025, including ₹1,660.82 lakh outstanding for six months to one year and ₹302.49 lakh outstanding for one to two years, which could place pressure on liquidity and cash flows.
  7. A majority of the company’s order book and revenue is concentrated in underground cabling and distribution and transmission-line projects, exposing its performance to changes in power-sector capex, tendering activity, and execution conditions in these segments.
  8. The company faces intense competition in the transmission and distribution EPC market from large national and international players as well as regional EPC contractors, which can result in aggressive bidding, pricing pressure, and lower project margins.
