Risks and Threats for Moneyview IPO
- The company operates in a highly regulated financial services sector. Changes in regulations or regulatory action could increase compliance costs and affect its operations.
- The company reported negative cash flows from operating activities in the three months ended June 30, 2025, and in FY2026, FY2025 and FY2024. This is partly because loan disbursals are recorded under operating activities, while borrowings used to fund these loans are classified under financing activities.
- As the company expects its portfolio of loans to grow, it may continue to report negative operating cash flows.
- Its material subsidiary, WFPL, is regulated by the RBI and is subject to liquidity risk management requirements. Non-compliance could lead to regulatory or penal action.
- One of WFPL's non-convertible debenture issues was sold by successful applicants in the past, resulting in the number of security holders exceeding prescribed limits. This could expose the company to regulatory and penal action.
- Cyberattacks, data breaches, privacy issues or failures in data security could disrupt operations, damage the company's reputation and result in financial losses.
- The company's operations depend heavily on the availability and performance of its website, mobile application and technology platform. System failures or disruptions could affect transactions and user experience.
- A significant portion of revenue comes from fees and commissions earned on financial products facilitated through its Financial Partners. A decline in transaction volumes or commission rates could affect revenue.
- The company relies on payment infrastructure such as NACH and UPI for a substantial portion of repayment flows. Disruptions or regulatory changes affecting these systems could impact payment processing.
- A ₹160 crore one-time performance incentive paid to the Managing Director and CEO reduced restated FY2026 profit by ₹119.73 crore after tax. This makes year-on-year profitability comparisons less straightforward.
