About Koolking Industries India Limited

Koolking Industries India Limited was incorporated in 2008 and commenced operations in the copper and brass heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning components business in 2009. Over the years, the company has evolved from a single-unit manufacturer into a diversified supplier of heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning components, with a presence across multiple manufacturing locations in India.

The company is engaged in the manufacturing and supply of brass and copper heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning components for commercial and residential air conditioners, including window air conditioners and split air conditioners, as well as the refrigeration industry. Its product portfolio spans four business verticals: indoor unit components such as U-bends, evaporator inlet and outlet tubes and sockets; outdoor unit components such as suction tubes, condenser inlet and outlet tubes, C-bends, and discharge tubes; other heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning components such as brass flare nuts and dead nuts; and refrigeration components such as refrigeration lines.

Koolking Industries operates five manufacturing facilities across Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Andhra Pradesh. The company serves a diversified customer base comprising large original design manufacturers of air conditioners across different specifications, energy ratings, and refrigerant types. It has established long-standing relationships with major customers including Daikin Airconditioning India Private Limited, Amber Enterprises India Limited, KRN Heat Exchanger and Refrigeration Limited. Revenue from repeat customers accounted for more than 95% of revenue from operations in each of the last three financial years.

Koolking Industries has a strong presence in the Indian heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning components industry, with supply relationships with eight of the top ten heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning manufacturers in the country. The company had a 15% share of its total addressable market in Fiscal 2026, while the total addressable market for its current and proposed products is expected to grow from approximately ₹34,800 million in Fiscal 2026 to ₹83,500 million in Fiscal 2030, representing a compound annual growth rate of 24.46%.

The company has developed in-house new product development capabilities at each of its manufacturing facilities, supported by a dedicated team that works on designing, validating, testing, and approving new components before mass production. Its manufacturing facilities hold ISO 45001:2018, ISO 14001:2015, and ISO 9001:2015 certifications, while the company has also received supplier ratings and customer recognitions from leading customers for quality, customer support, and business association.

Industry Outlook

  • The Indian air-conditioner market grew from approximately ₹16,218.1 crore in FY21 to ₹37,466.0 crore in FY26, indicating strong expansion in the domestic cooling market.
  • Air-conditioner household penetration increased from 6% in 2019 to 10% in 2024 but remains below penetration levels in several developing and developed economies, leaving significant headroom for future adoption.
  • The Indian air-conditioner and refrigerator components industry is projected to grow from ₹45,500.8 crore in FY26 to ₹63,104.2 crore by FY30, implying a CAGR of approximately 8.5%.
  • Indian air-conditioner market volumes are estimated to rise from 12.8 million units in FY27 to 16.7 million units by FY30, representing a CAGR of 9.3%, supporting sustained demand for HVAC components.
  • The shift towards inverter-based, energy-efficient appliances and environmentally friendly refrigerants is increasing the complexity and value of components used per unit, creating opportunities for organised component manufacturers.
  • Rising urbanisation, nuclear households, disposable incomes, and increasing adoption of air conditioners and refrigerators across residential, commercial, and industrial segments are expected to provide a volume-led growth base for the components industry.
  • Government policies promoting localisation and import substitution are encouraging domestic manufacturing and reducing dependence on imported components. Increasing domestic sourcing is also supported by shorter lead times, lower logistics costs, and improved supply-chain reliability.
  • OEMs and original design manufacturers are increasingly rationalising their vendor base and favouring organised suppliers with strong engineering capabilities, quality systems, and the ability to meet stringent specifications, creating opportunities for established manufacturers.
  • Proximity to OEM manufacturing facilities is becoming an important competitive factor, as suppliers located near manufacturing clusters can offer shorter turnaround times, lower logistics costs, reduced inventory requirements, and better supply-chain coordination.
  • Replacement demand, expanding cold-chain infrastructure, and growth in commercial refrigeration are expected to broaden the end-use market beyond residential cooling appliances, supporting additional demand for refrigeration and HVAC components.

Koolking Industries India IPO Objectives

The company proposes to utilise the net proceeds from the IPO for the following objectives:

  • Funding capital expenditure towards the proposed projects.
  • Funding capital expenditure towards the purchase of new machinery and equipment at the existing manufacturing facilities.
  • Funding the working capital requirements of the company.
  • Towards general corporate purposes.

Strengths and Opportunities of Koolking Industries India IPO

  1. Koolking is an established pre-qualified supplier in an industry with high entry barriers, as OEMs and ODMs require stringent technical approvals, testing and quality checks. The company had 1,697 SKUs across four product verticals as of July 31, 2026, along with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certifications.

  1. The company has a strong position in the organised HVAC components market, with a 15% share of its estimated TAM in FY26 and supply relationships with 8 of the top 10 HVAC manufacturers in India. This provides a strong customer base and access to leading industry players.

  1. Koolking has demonstrated rapid financial growth, recording a 48.17% revenue CAGR and 91.59% EBITDA CAGR between FY24 and FY26, among the highest growth rates across the peers considered in the DRHP.

  1. The company benefits from long-standing relationships with marquee customers including Daikin, Amber Enterprises, KRN Heat Exchanger, EPACK Durable and Panasonic. Revenue from repeat customers remained above 95% in each of FY24–FY26, while relationships with its top six customers span 5–10 years.

  1. Its five manufacturing facilities are spread across Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan and Andhra Pradesh, with facilities strategically located near major HVAC manufacturing clusters. This proximity supports lower logistics costs, shorter lead times, faster turnaround and improved supply-chain coordination.

  1. The Indian air-conditioner market provides a substantial growth opportunity, with market value increasing from ₹16,218.1 crore in FY21 to ₹37,466 crore in FY26. Household AC penetration was only 10% in 2024, indicating considerable headroom for further adoption.

  1. The addressable market for Koolking's current and proposed products is estimated to expand from ₹3,480 crore in FY26 to ₹8,350 crore in FY30, representing a 24.46% CAGR. The planned addition of heat exchangers, service valves, sheet metal components and sintered bushes can help the company capture a broader share of this opportunity.

  1. Industry localisation and technological upgrades offer additional growth avenues. The Indian AC and refrigerator components industry is projected to grow from ₹45,500.8 crore in FY26 to ₹63,104.2 crore by FY30, supported by rising penetration, replacement demand, inverter-based appliances, energy efficiency, import substitution and increasing domestic sourcing.

Risks and Threats of Koolking Industries India IPO

  1. Koolking has significant customer concentration, with its top 10 customers contributing 89.71% of revenue in FY26, compared with 89.36% in FY25 and 88.38% in FY24. Amber Enterprises alone contributed 28.79%, while the loss or reduction in business from key customers could materially affect revenue and cash flows.

  1. The company is dependent on a limited number of suppliers, with its top 10 suppliers accounting for 79.33% of total purchases in FY26. Most supplier arrangements are based on individual purchase orders rather than long-term contracts, exposing the company to supply disruptions, price increases and changes in commercial terms.

  1. Raw material costs are a major margin risk, with copper, brass and other materials accounting for ₹4,746.05 million, or 97.83% of total expenses, in FY26. Any sharp increase in commodity prices that cannot be passed on to customers could compress profitability.

  1. Koolking has substantial dependence on overseas sourcing, with raw materials sourced from South Korea, China and Thailand accounting for 53.07% of total raw material sourcing in FY26. Geopolitical developments, shipping disruptions, import restrictions, foreign exchange movements or supplier issues could affect availability and costs.

  1. The business is working-capital intensive, with working capital requirements increasing from ₹242.68 million in FY24 to ₹1,632.48 million in FY26. The company also reported negative operating cash flows in FY25 and FY26, primarily due to higher working capital requirements as the business expanded.

  1. The HVAC components industry is cyclical and seasonal, making Koolking's demand vulnerable to economic slowdowns, weaker consumer spending, lower construction activity and changes in appliance demand. Lower orders could result in reduced capacity utilisation, excess inventory, pricing pressure and lower margins.

  1. Koolking operates in a competitive market facing both domestic and multinational players. Larger competitors may have greater scale and technological capabilities, while smaller players may compete aggressively on price, potentially limiting Koolking's pricing power and putting pressure on margins.

  1. Rapid technological and regulatory changes create an ongoing execution risk, particularly with the shift toward inverter technology, higher energy-efficiency standards, smart appliances and low-global-warming-potential refrigerants. Failure to upgrade products and manufacturing processes could lead to product obsolescence, higher capital expenditure and loss of competitiveness.
