About Kataline Ltd
The company started operating in 2008 as a road-marking paint manufacturer. It has now evolved into a bigger business and provides traffic safety solutions. It has its own quality testing capabilities and provides end-to-end project execution services. Over the last 3 financial years, it has supplied products and services across 24 states and union territories. Its distribution network includes 17 distributors across 16 cities, while 15 warehouses are spread across 15 cities in 11 states.
The company operates in the road and traffic safety space. It makes and supplies road-marking products used across roads, highways, bridges, airports, parking areas, industrial sites, and other infrastructure projects. Its products are also used for pedestrian walkways and cycle tracks.
The company’s business goes beyond simply manufacturing these materials. It also takes up traffic safety projects and carries out road-marking work at project sites using specialised equipment. This allows it to handle multiple stages of the process, from making and testing the products to supplying and applying them at the site.
Industry Outlook
The company operates in the Paints and Coatings Industry, specifically specialising in Road Safety Infrastructure and Road Marking Solutions.
- India’s National Highway network increased by around 61%, from 91,287 km in March 2014 to 1,46,572 km in March 2026. The expansion of highways, expressways, and high-speed corridors is increasing the need for durable road-marking paints.
- The length of four-lane and wider National Highways increased around 2.6 times, from 18,371 km in 2014 to 48,568 km by February 2026. Higher traffic speeds and volumes are driving demand for high-visibility, reflective, and wear-resistant markings.
- Road safety audits are mandatory at various stages of National Highway projects, while governments are actively identifying and rectifying accident-prone locations. This creates demand for road markings, rumble strips, road studs, delineators, and other visibility-enhancing products.
- As of February 2026, India had identified 13,795 accident black spots on National Highways. Short-term measures such as road markings, warning signs, rumble strips, and solar blinkers, along with long-term road improvements, are creating recurring demand for traffic safety products.
- India’s railway track length increased from 1,35,207 km in FY24 to 1,37,522 km in FY25. Expansion and redevelopment of railway infrastructure are supporting demand for durable markings and safety signage at stations, crossings, and surrounding road networks.
- New and upgraded airports require markings across access roads, parking areas, service roads, terminal zones, and traffic lanes. Growing airport infrastructure is therefore creating sustained demand for fast-curing, durable, and reflective marking systems.
- Expansion of malls, offices, commercial centres, public venues, and multi-level parking facilities is increasing the need for parking bay lines, directional arrows, pedestrian markings, and safety zones.
- The growing adoption of EV-ready parking is creating additional requirements for dedicated EV bays, charger approach lanes, safety zones, and other specialised markings, adding another demand segment for road-marking paints.
Kataline Ltd IPO Objectives
- The company plans to use nearly ₹7,000.00 lakh to meet its day-to-day working capital needs and support its business expansion.
- ₹2,804.60 lakh will be used to upgrade and modernise the existing manufacturing facility, with the aim of improving production efficiency and capacity.
- The company will invest ₹901.78 lakh in purchasing new equipment required for executing projects, which is expected to support its ability to handle larger projects.
- The remaining IPO proceeds will be used for general corporate requirements, strategic initiatives, and other business needs. The amount will be determined after the Offer Price is finalised and will be capped at 25% of the gross proceeds, as permitted under SEBI regulations.

Strengths and Opportunities for Kataline Ltd IPO
The company offers end-to-end road safety solutions, covering manufacturing, product supply and on-site project execution. Its product portfolio includes hot-applied thermoplastic, cold-applied plastic, water- and solvent-based marking paints, along with road safety components and devices.
The company has established a wide distribution network, with 17 distributors across 16 cities and 14 states and union territories. It has served customers across 24 states and union territories over the last three financial years.
Its Nagpur-based manufacturing facility benefits from access to major road and transport networks, supporting efficient procurement, distribution and logistics across India.

Risks and Threats for Kataline Ltd IPO
Hot-applied thermoplastic marking materials contributed 84.82%, 83.01% and 84.66% of revenue from operations in FY2026, FY2025 and FY2024, respectively, indicating significant dependence on a single product category.
The top 10 customers accounted for 50.49% of revenue in FY2026, up from 43.61% in FY2024, increasing exposure to the loss or reduced orders from key customers.
Repeat customers contributed 86.37% of revenue in FY2026, compared with 83.02% in FY2025 and 85.53% in FY2024. Any reduction in repeat orders could materially impact revenue visibility.
The company does not have firm commitment agreements with its direct customers, leaving future order volumes uncertain and exposing revenue to fluctuations in customer sourcing decisions.
The business is significantly linked to road safety and infrastructure development projects, including those undertaken by government authorities, PSUs and EPC contractors. Delays, deferments or cancellations of such projects could affect demand and project execution.
Revenue is primarily generated from the manufacture and sale of road safety marking products, while project execution contributes a smaller share. Any disruption in manufacturing could therefore affect both product sales and the company's ability to execute projects.
The company relies on distributors to sell its products. Termination of distributor arrangements, lower distributor-led sales or difficulties in expanding the distribution network could constrain market reach and revenue growth.
Project contracts contain stringent performance, completion, defect rectification and termination clauses. Failure to meet contractual obligations could result in liquidated damages, recovery of costs, invocation/forfeiture of performance security or contract termination, adversely affecting profitability and cash flows.
