About Green Asia Impex IPO

Green Asia Impex IPO is a book-built issue worth ₹60.10 crore. The issue comprises a fresh issue of 59.00 lakh shares worth ₹53.10 crore and an offer for sale of 7.78 lakh shares worth ₹7.00 crore. 

Indorient Financial Services Limited is the book-running lead manager, while Bigshare Services Private Limited is the registrar. Steel City Securities Limited has been appointed as the market maker for the issue. 

Industry Outlook 

Indian Seafood and Shrimp Industry 

  • India’s inland aquaculture and fish production increased from 104.4 lakh tonnes in FY20 to 147.4 lakh tonnes in FY25, growing at a CAGR of 7.1%.  

  • The Indian shrimp market grew from ₹41,700 crore in FY19 to ₹82,041 crore in FY25, registering an 11.9% CAGR.  

  • The shrimp market is projected to reach ₹1,28,400 crore by FY30, growing at a CAGR of 9.4%.  

  • The global target export market for Indian shrimps is expected to grow from ₹40,674 crore in CY25 to ₹47,050 crore by CY30.  

  • Vannamei shrimp accounted for around 80% of the market in FY25 and is projected to grow at 8.3% CAGR through FY30.

Green Asia Impex Market Opportunity 

  • The combined TAM for shrimp and chilli is estimated at ₹90,340 crore in 2025 and is projected to reach ₹1,37,500 crore by 2030.  

  • Green Asia Impex’s target SOM is estimated at ₹340 crore in 2025, representing 0.38% of the TAM.

Green Asia Impex IPO Objectives 

The company plans to utilise the net proceeds from the IPO for the following purposes: 

  • New Facility: Plans to use ₹40.03 crore of IPO proceeds to set up a seafood processing facility at Chinnayagudem, Andhra Pradesh.  

  • Capacity Expansion: The new facility will add 11,100 MTPA of shrimp processing capacity, taking total capacity to 21,900 MTPA.  

  • Value-Added Products: Plans to expand into Ready-to-Cook (RTC) and other value-added seafood products for European and North American markets. 

About Green Asia Impex Limited 

Green Asia Impex Limited, formerly known as Green Asia Impex Private Limited, is an integrated processor and exporter of frozen seafood and agri-commodities based in Tadepalligudem, Andhra Pradesh.  

The company operates primarily in the shrimp and dried chilli segments, catering to B2B customers such as importers, distributors and food processing companies in domestic and international markets. Shrimp is the primary revenue contributor, accounting for 87.76% of FY26 revenue.  

The company processes and exports Vannamei, Black Tiger and freshwater shrimp in formats including Head-On Shell-On (HOSO), Headless Shell-On (HLSO) and Peeled & Deveined (PD). The shrimp segment generated ₹33,682.79 lakh in FY26. The dried chilli segment contributed 9.77% of FY26 revenue, generating ₹3,751.61 lakh through the trading and export of varieties such as Teja, Guntur Sannam and Bydagi. 

Green Asia Impex operates a shrimp processing unit at Unguturu, Tadepalligudem, with an installed capacity of 10,800 MTPA, including 7,200 MTPA for block freezing and 3,600 MTPA for Individual Quick Freezing (IQF). Its chilli processing unit is located in Kurnuthala, Guntur District, and operates from a leased facility.  

The company sources its shrimp and dried chillies through trader-cum-commission agent networks operating in Agricultural Market Committee (AMC) markets. The different harvest seasons for shrimp and chillies also provide operational complementarity, with shrimp harvesting peaking from October to July and dried chilli harvesting from January to April. 

The company exports its products to markets including China, the US, Kuwait, Malaysia, the UK, Vietnam and Thailand. In FY26, domestic sales stood at ₹22,946.13 lakh, accounting for 59.79% of total revenue from operations, while export sales contributed ₹14,488.28 lakh, or 37.75% of total revenue from operations.
