Bearer Stocks

One may own two types of stocks - registered and bearer. Registered stocks require the issuing authority to register the owner and track ownership transfers, while bearer stocks do not. The latter are owned by individuals or entities holding a physical certificate. This means that the issuing authority does not have a record of the owner or the transfer of ownership.
