American Depository Receipts (ADRs)

In the world of finance, there exists a type of certificate that is quite unique in its characteristics. These certificates are issued by a U.S. bank and are traded within the United States as domestic shares. What sets them apart is that they represent foreign securities held by the issuing bank in their country of origin. These certificates are known as American Depository Receipts (ADRs).
