India’s main stock indices, the BSE Sensex and Nifty 50, made a strong recovery on November 05, 2024 afternoon, gaining back some of Monday’s losses.
The BSE Sensex rose by 694 points, or 0.88%, closing at 79,476.63. Meanwhile, the Nifty 50 climbed 218 points, or 0.91%, finishing above 24,200 at 24,213.

JSW Steel share price closed at ₹998.50, reflecting a 4.57% rise. JSW Steel announced that its consolidated crude steel production for October 2024 reached 22.81 lakh tonnes.

Bajaj Auto Limited share price closed at ₹9,844.95, reflecting a 3.35% rise. The company reported its October sales, showing a modest 2% year-on-year increase to 4,79,707 units, up from 4,71,188 units in October 2023. Domestic sales in the 2-wheeler segment reached 2,55,909 units, marking an 8% drop from the 2,78,486 units sold a year ago. However, exports rose significantly, increasing by 22% year-on-year to 1,58,463 units.
Axis Bank Ltd share price closed at ₹1,170.15, reflecting a 2.71% rise.
