Share Market Pre Open Updates – February 26, 2024

On February 23, 2024, Nifty 50 closed at 22,212, with a fall of 0.02%. Sensex also dropped 0.02% to 73,142. Foreign Institutional Investors (FII) bought securities worth ₹1,276 crore, and Domestic Institutional Investors (DII) bought securities worth  ₹176 crore.

Top Gainers and Losers

Nifty Media, Nifty Realty, Nifty Consumer Durables and Nifty Pharma witnessed gains in the sectoral landscape. Conversely, Nifty PSU Bank, Nifty Oil and Gas, Nifty Metal and Nifty Bank saw declines. The top gainers were AWL, Bharat Electronics, IRCTC and Adani Energy Solutions, while the top losers included Bank of Baroda, Indian Oil Corporation, Trent and Marico.

Vodafone Idea and Olectra Greentech were in the news on February 23, 2024.

• The share price of Vodafone Idea rose 8% to ₹17 due to its scheduled Board meeting on February 27, 2024.
• Olectra Greentech won a contract of ₹4,000 crore from Brihanmumbai Electric Supply and Transport for the supply, operation and maintenance of 2,400 buses. Despite this news, the share price of Olectra Greentech dropped 3% and closed at ₹2,043.
