On July 8, 2025, the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security (ICP) of the United Arab Emirates issued a firm denial of reports claiming that lifetime Golden Visas are being granted to certain nationalities, including Indians, through unofficial channels. The ICP stated that such claims are entirely false and aimed at misleading the public.
Here is the clarification shared on social media:
As per Business Standard news report, a widely circulated press release, allegedly issued by a consultancy firm named Rayad Group, claimed that Indian nationals could obtain a "nomination-based" UAE Golden Visa by paying AED 100,000 (approximately ₹23.3 lakh) without the usual investment in property or business.
The release further suggested that visa processing company VFS Global was a partner in the process and that India and Bangladesh were already part of a pilot rollout.
The Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security (ICP) categorically rejected the claims and reaffirmed that all Golden Visa applications are processed exclusively through official government channels within the UAE. No external consultants, agencies, or advisory firms are authorised to process or facilitate applications.
The authority also warned the public to be vigilant against fraud attempts that exploit individuals' aspirations for a better life abroad. It added that any such unofficial offers, including the ₹23 lakh lifetime visa scheme, have no legal basis and are not recognised by UAE authorities.
Authorities emphasised that legal action may be taken against any individuals or organisations spreading such false information. The public is advised not to engage with or submit personal information or payments to any unverified party claiming to provide visa services.
Furthermore, the ICP reiterated its commitment to a transparent and secure visa process through official digital platforms. Applicants are encouraged to visit the official website or contact the 24/7 helpline at 600522222 for accurate information.

The UAE government has taken a clear stance against misinformation surrounding the Golden Visa scheme. Individuals seeking residency in the UAE are strongly advised to rely solely on official sources and avoid falling victim to fraudulent schemes that promise shortcuts to lifelong residency.
