Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has announced a strategic five-year partnership with Finland-based telecom provider DNA Plc to accelerate its enterprise-wide cloud transformation. The collaboration marks a major step toward modernising DNA’s IT infrastructure, with TCS slated to migrate up to 80% of the telco's applications to the public cloud.
As part of this agreement, TCS will establish a Cloud Migration Factory in Portugal to support the large-scale migration of over 100 enterprise applications to Google Cloud in the next 24 months. The migration, part of DNA’s ‘Journey to the Cloud’ initiative, aims to enhance operational agility, customer experience, and cost efficiency.
TCS will leverage proprietary tools like TCS Cloud Counsel and TCS Migration Factory to automate and streamline the migration process.
DNA CEO Jussi Tolvanen emphasised that cloud adoption is essential for scaling data and AI services: “Running AI services without a cloud-based data platform is practically impossible… Our goal is to remain at the forefront of connectivity.”
CTO Sari Leppänen highlighted the value of a strong strategic partner like TCS to lead cloud innovation and transformation.
Telenor Procurement Company CEO Thomas Skjelbred noted the alignment between the project and Telenor’s long-term digital goals.
TCS CMI President Akhilesh Tiwari called the company a “trusted partner” in driving DNA’s future-ready goals, while Finland Country Head Subhadipta Samantray said the effort will bring “AI-enabled cloud operations at scale.”

TCS, which has been active in the Nordic region since 1991, supports enterprises across Finland, Sweden, Norway, and Denmark. With more than 20,000 employees in the region, the company has received top rankings in customer satisfaction and employer recognition for 15 consecutive years.
On May 22, 2025, shares of Tata Consultancy Services (NSE: TCS) opened at ₹3,495, lower than its previous close at ₹3,525.80. At 12.29 PM, the share price of TCS was trading at ₹3,471.50, down by 1.54% on the NSE.
The partnership between TCS and DNA signals a significant shift toward AI-powered, cloud-native operations in the Nordic telecom space.
