Paytm Introduces Total Balance Feature for UPI Accounts

Paytm has launched a helpful new feature that shows the total balance across all UPI-linked bank accounts in one place. This means users no longer need to check multiple accounts separately or add balances manually.

What Does the New Feature of Paytm App Do?

The feature gives users a consolidated view of their money by displaying both individual account balances and the total balance on the same screen. This happens after the user verifies their UPI PIN.

Many people keep different bank accounts for salary, savings, or spending. Until now, checking balances in each account and calculating the total could be time-consuming. Paytm’s new feature solves this problem.

How to Use the Feature?

To use the feature:

• Open the Paytm app.
• Go to the “Balance & History” section.
• Link your UPI-enabled bank accounts (if not already done).
• Enter your UPI PIN for each account.

Once verified, the app will automatically show your total available balance at the top of the screen.

One97 Communications Limited, which operates Paytm, says this is part of its larger goal to make money management simple using technology. Paytm already offers features like:

• Payment privacy controls
• Personalised UPI IDs
• Home screen widgets
• Downloadable transaction statements (PDF/Excel)

Global UPI Expansion

Paytm has also made it possible to use UPI payments in countries like the UAE, Singapore, France, Mauritius, Bhutan, Sri Lanka, and Nepal. This is especially useful for Indian travelers.
