Nestlé India has officially named Manish Tiwary as its next Chairman and Managing Director, beginning August 1, 2025. Known for his senior roles at Amazon India and Unilever, he is expected to bring valuable insight to lead Nestlé’s India operations. This change comes after the retirement of Suresh Narayanan, who guided Nestlé through critical transitions, including the Maggi brand revival.
Nestlé India announced that Manish Tiwary will assume full responsibilities as Chairman and Managing Director starting August 1, 2025. His appointment was recommended by Nestlé S.A. and the Nomination and Remuneration Committee, and it awaits shareholder approval at the company’s 66th Annual General Meeting. This strategic move comes at a significant time for Nestlé’s growth in India.
Tiwary holds a Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science and a Master of Business Administration from IIM Bangalore. He joined Nestlé India as Managing Director Designate on 1 February 2025 and was recognised as Key Managerial Personnel from April 24, 2025. Before this, he served as Special Project Manager at Nestlé S.A. for the Asia Oceania Africa region.
Tiwary’s leadership journey includes over 8 years at Amazon India, where he served as Country Manager. His strategic approach helped scale operations in one of the world's fastest-growing e-commerce markets. Prior to that, he spent 20 years at Unilever, handling diverse functions in India, the Gulf region, and North Africa. His global exposure in sales and marketing is seen as an asset to Nestlé’s India plans.
Suresh Narayanan, who will retire on July 31, 2025, has been a key figure in Nestlé India since 2015. He played a major role in resolving the challenges surrounding Maggi noodles, restoring the product’s market position and consumer trust. His leadership focused on investing in both people and infrastructure to bring long-term stability.
The upcoming Annual General Meeting will also see shareholder decisions on reappointments. Satish Srinivasan, currently Whole Time Director, is seeking another term after retiring by rotation. The board has also approved a second 5-year term for P.R. Ramesh as Independent Non Executive Director from July 2025 to June 2030. These decisions aim to maintain continuity and strong governance within the company.

The appointment of Manish Tiwary marks a new chapter for Nestlé India. With a proven track record from his years at Amazon and Unilever, Tiwary brings experience, global vision, and strategic thinking.
