BLS International Services Ltd has been barred by the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) from participating in all future tenders and contracts for Indian Missions abroad for 2 years. The company informed exchanges on Saturday that the order was issued by the MEA on October 9, 2025.
The order was passed on the basis of various allegations, including court cases and complaints received from applicants against the company. Following this, BLS International will not be allowed to bid for new MEA-related projects either in India or abroad during the suspension period. The company stated that it will review the order and consider available legal options.
BLS clarified that the debarment applies only to future contracts. Its current operations and existing agreements with the MEA and Indian Missions will continue as per the existing terms. The company added that this action is not expected to affect its financial performance or day-to-day business activities.
As per the exchange filings, Indian Missions accounted for nearly 12% of BLS International’s consolidated revenue and about 8% of its EBITDA in the first quarter of FY26. The company has renewed around 90% of its existing contracts, some of which extend for up to ten years. These renewals, according to its statement, provide continued business visibility despite the MEA order.
BLS International, based in New Delhi, provides outsourced visa, passport, and consular services for several governments. The company serves as a global partner for embassies and foreign missions and operates in multiple countries.

As of October 13, 2025, 09:50 AM, BLS International Services share price was trading at ₹295.90, a 12.23% from the previous closing price.
The 2-year debarment limits BLS International’s ability to secure new MEA projects, though its existing contracts remain unaffected for now.
