Shares of Housing and Urban Development Corporation (HUDCO) are expected to see increased activity as the company’s board has declared January 30, 2025, as the record date for its interim dividend of ₹2.05 per share.
This means that today, January 28, marks the last opportunity for investors to purchase HUDCO shares and qualify for the dividend payout.
In a filing with the stock exchanges, HUDCO stated, “The Board of Directors, in their meeting held on Wednesday, January 22, 2025, inter-alia considered and approved the following: Declaration of an Interim Dividend of ₹2.05 per equity share, i.e., 20.50% (subject to deduction of TDS) on the face value of ₹10 each, for the Financial Year 2024-25 and fixed Thursday, January 30, 2025, as the record date for determining the eligibility of shareholders for payment of the Interim Dividend.” The company further confirmed that the payment of the interim dividend will be completed within 30 days of declaration.
To receive the ₹2.05 per share dividend, investors must hold HUDCO shares by the end of the record date, January 30. As per India’s T+1 settlement cycle, where trades settle one business day after execution, investors need to buy HUDCO shares at least one day before the ex-dividend date to be officially recorded as shareholders by the record date.
Over the past 12 months, HUDCO has declared an equity dividend totalling ₹4.15 per share. At the current share price of ₹208.96, the company’s dividend yield stands at 1.99%, according to Trendlyne data. The interim dividend announcement reinforces HUDCO’s commitment to rewarding its shareholders while maintaining strong financial performance.
