GE Vernova T&D India Ltd. announced receiving a ₹400 crore order from Sterlite Grid 32 Ltd. for the supply and supervision of high-voltage (HV) equipment. The project, awarded under tariff-based competitive bidding (TBCB), is expected to be completed within two years, as per an exchange filing.
This domestic order adds to the company’s portfolio of providing HV equipment for infrastructure projects. Earlier this month, GE Vernova also secured a ₹400 crore order from Sterlite Power for supplying 765-kilovolt transformers and reactors for the Khavda project.
In Q1 FY25, GE Vernova’s order bookings grew by 2% year-on-year to ₹1,030 crores, supported by major projects like Ladakh’s State Load Dispatch Centre. The company’s order backlog reached ₹6,280 cr, a 59% year-on-year increase.
The company improved its operational efficiency through cost optimisation and timely project delivery, commissioning key projects such as a 400-kV transmission line for UPPTCL and substations for TPDDL in Delhi.
With India’s demand for advanced transmission solutions and Power Grid Corporation’s expanding capex, the company anticipates further order inflows. GE Vernova also plans to prioritise automation and digital grid management to meet the demand for reliable power infrastructure.
In Q2 FY25, the company reported a standalone net profit of ₹144.62 crore, marking a 289.08% increase from ₹37 crore in Q2 FY24. Revenue from operations jumped 58.76% to ₹1,107.77 crore compared to ₹698 crore in the same quarter last year.
