Indian key benchmark indices were off the day’s high and were seen trading modestly higher as of 3:12 PM on June 24. However, one stock that stood out was EMS Limited, which was seen trading near its day’s high at ₹610, up by 4%. EMS share price was trending higher following a significant development disclosed to the exchanges.

EMS Share Price Gains on Order Win

EMS Limited informed the exchanges that it has received a Letter of Acceptance (LOA) from The Kolkata Municipal Corporation for a major infrastructure project. This LOA follows the company’s earlier disclosure on September 19, 2024, where it was declared as the lowest bidder (L1) for the tender. As a result, EMS share price was trending higher on June 24, 2025. 

₹782 Crore Pollution Abatement Contract Awarded

The scope of the contract is for pollution abatement work aimed at the rejuvenation of River Adi Ganga in Kolkata, West Bengal. The total order value stands at approximately ₹78197.91 lakh, which includes operation and maintenance, GST, and other charges. EMS Limited will hold a 74% share in this contract in a joint venture arrangement.

Execution Timeline of the Project

The contract includes a design and build period of 36 months, followed by an operation and maintenance phase lasting 15 years. The contract is awarded by a domestic entity and falls outside the scope of related party transactions. The terms and conditions are defined as per the contract signed.
