Bharat Electronics Ltd (BEL) has received additional defence-related orders worth ₹572 crore. This update was shared through an exchange filing. The orders include Integrated Drone Detection and Interdiction Systems (IDDIS), Software Defined Radios (SDR), and Data Communication Units (DCUs) for attack guns. The company also received orders for AI-based ship solutions, simulators, communication systems, jammers, spares, and associated services.
These orders come after BEL’s earlier announcement, when the company reported a ₹2,210 crore order from the Ministry of Defence. That order was for Electronic Warfare (EW) suites for Mi-17V5 helicopters. The systems included Radar Warning Receivers, Missile Approach Warning Systems, and CounterMeasure Dispensing Systems. The technology was developed by DRDO and CASDIC and is manufactured by BEL.
BEL reported a 30% year-on-year increase in profit for the quarter ending March 2025. The profit stood at ₹1,797 crore. Revenue for the quarter rose by 32%, reaching ₹8,564 crore compared to ₹6,479 crore in the same quarter last year. The board has recommended a final dividend of ₹0.80 per equity share.
As of April 1, 2025, BEL’s total order book stood at ₹76,000 crore. This marks a 25.2% growth compared to the previous fiscal year. The order book includes domestic as well as export orders and reflects a mix of ongoing and new contracts.

Over the past 3 weeks, the Nifty India Defence Index has gained more than 12%, with the defence sector adding ₹1.17 lakh crore in market capitalisation. BEL accounted for ₹29,970 crore of that increase.
The ₹572 crore in new orders adds to BEL’s ongoing order pipeline. The company continues to report growth in its order book and quarterly results.
