On Monday, the benchmark indices were trading flat with the Sensex up around 8 points or 0.01% at 66,291 and the Nifty-50 around 12 points or 0.06% at 19,763. About 2,106 shares have advanced, 1,282 declined, and 216 are unchanged on the BSE.
The top Sensex gainers were HCL Technologies Ltd, JSW Steel Ltd and Ultratech Cements Ltd, whereas the top Sensex losers were IndusInd Bank, Asian Paints Ltd and Nestle India Ltd.
The BSE Consumer Durables Index was the top gaining among the sectorial indices and the BSE Power Index was the top losing sector. The BSE Consumer Durables Index soared 0.90% led by Titan Company Ltd and Rajesh Exports Ltd while the BSE Power Index was down 0.35% dragged down by CG Power & Industrial Solutions Ltd and Adani Power Ltd.
The indices in the broader markets were trading higher, with the BSE Mid-cap index up 0.26% and the BSE Small-cap index up 0.46%, respectively. The top mid-cap gainers were NMDC Ltd and Rajesh Exports Ltd while the top small-cap gainers were MMTC Ltd and Gati Ltd.
