On Monday, the benchmark indices were trading higher with the Sensex up around 40 points or 0.05% at 69,865 while the Nifty-50 up around 15 points or 0.07% at 20,985. About 2,290 shares have advanced, 1,275 declined, and 211 are unchanged on the BSE.
The top Sensex gainers were Ultratech Cements Ltd, Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd and Tata Motors Ltd whereas the top Sensex losers were Asian Paints Ltd, Axis Bank and Hindustan Unilever Ltda.
The indices in the broader markets were trading higher, with the BSE Mid-cap index up 0.50% and the BSE Small-cap index up 0.53%, respectively. The top mid-cap gainers were Bank of India and Indian Railway Finance Corporation Ltd while the top small-cap gainers were Steelcast Ltd and Subros Ltd.
The BSE Oil & Gas Index was the top gaining among the sectorial indices and the BSE Healthcare Index was the top losing sector. The BSE Oil & Gas Index soared 0.76% led by Oil & Natural Gas Ltd and Indian Oil Corporation Ltd while the BSE Healthcare Index was down 0.76% dragged down by Bajaj Healthcare Ltd and Dr Reddy’s Laboratories Ltd.
In the pre-opening session, these 3 stocks were trending: Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency Ltd, Sandur Manganese & Iron Ores Ltd and Jammu & Kashmir Bank Ltd.
