On September 19, 2024, Sula Vineyards Limited, the largest wine producer in India, announced the return of the popular SulaFest, the launch of its new wine, Sula Merlot, and expectations for a great grape harvest due to a good monsoon.

SulaFest Returns in February 2025

SulaFest, India’s famous wine and music festival, will return in February 2025 after a 5-year break. Set in the beautiful Sula vineyards in Nashik, the festival will feature live performances from well-known artists and cultural activities, along with Sula’s finest wines. Tickets will be available soon, and more details about the event will be announced later.

Launch of Sula Merlot

Sula has introduced its latest wine, Sula Merlot. This wine offers a smooth texture with rich fruit flavours and subtle hints of chocolate and cherries. Priced at ₹895, Sula Merlot is now available in wine shops across Mumbai and Pune, with plans for wider distribution starting mid-2025.

Good Monsoon Promises Healthy Grape Harvest

This year’s good monsoon has brought healthy rainfall to Maharashtra and Karnataka, Sula’s main grape-growing regions. This will lead to a successful grape harvest in 2025, ensuring there’s plenty of wine to meet the growing demand.

Commenting on these developments, Sula CEO Rajeev Samant said, “Bowing to the overwhelming demand to bring back our iconic SulaFest, we are thrilled to announce the return of SulaFest in February ’25. We are once again looking forward to welcoming fest-goers to our Nashik home, one of the most amazing settings for a music festival in India, with the opportunity to enjoy some great music while sipping our award-winning wines.”
