Share Market Pre Open Updates – May 27, 2024

On May 24, 2024, the Nifty 50 declined 0.05% and closed at 22,957, and the Sensex dropped 0.01%, closing at 75,410. 

Top Gainers and Losers

On the sectoral front, Nifty Media, Nifty Financial Services, Nifty Oil & Gas, and Nifty Bank ended in the green. Meanwhile, Nifty FMCG, Nifty Realty, Nifty Midsmall Healthcare and Nifty IT were declining. The top gainers were Power Finance, Hindustan Aeronautics, TVS Motor and REC, which showed positive movement. On the other hand, Indigo, Torrent Pharmaceuticals, Avenue Supermarts and Zomato were the top losers of the day.

PNC Infratech and Suzlon Energy were in the news on May 24, 2024.

• PNC Infratech reported a consolidated year-on-year revenue of ₹2,600 crore, a 13% increase. Post this news, the company’s share price increased by 4.6%, closing at ₹562.
• Suzlon Energy reported a consolidated year-on-year revenue of ₹2,196 crore, a 30% increase. Despite this news, the company’s share price dropped by 5%, closing at ₹45.
