Indian markets are likely to open flat tracking global indices and SGX Nifty.
US stocks moved notably lower over the course of the trading session on Tuesday after failing to sustain an initial move to the upside. With the downturn on the day the Nasdaq and the SP 500 fell to twomonth closing lows. The Dow slumped 0.9 percent to 25347 and the Nasdaq dropped 0.4 percent to 7607.
U.K. stocks stocks gave up early gains to turn flat on Tuesday amid uncertainty over Britains political scene. FTSE 100 was up by 0.1 percent at 7278.
On domestic front Indian shares extended their recordsetting spree for a third day running on Tuesday amid expectations that a stable government at the Centre will boost growth and lead to higher foreign fund inflows. The benchmark BSE Sensex was up by 0.2 percent to 39749.
