Indian markets are likely to open flat tracking global indices and SGX Nifty.

The US stocks moved mostly lower over the course of the trading day on Friday. The major averages failed to sustain an initial upward move and slid firmly into negative territory as the day progressed. The Dow fell 0.3 percent to 27154 and the Nasdaq slid 0.7 percent to 8146.

U.K. stocks advanced on Friday as comments from a top Federal Reserve official added to bets that the U.S. central bank will cut interest rates starting this month. The FTSE 100 was up by 0.5 percent at 7527.

On domestic front Indian shares slumped on Friday with earnings woes concerns over rising capital outflows and volatility in oil prices keeping investors nervous. The benchmark BSE Sensex fell by 1.5 percent to 38337.
