Indian markets are likely to open Negative tracking global indices and SGX Nifty.

US stocks gave back ground over the course of the trading session on Friday after moving mostly higher early in the session. The major averages pulled back off their best levels of the day before closing near the unchanged line.The major averages finished the day with a mixed performance. The Dowwas flat at 31494 and the Nasdaq inched up 0.1 percent to 13874.

U.K. stocks were struggling for direction on Friday with rising bond yields retail sales data and corporate news in focus. The benchmark FTSE 100 was marginally lower at 6615 after falling as much as 1.4 percent on Thursday.

Indian shares extended their declines into fourth straight day on Friday amid selling across the board.
