Indian markets are likely to open flat tracking global indices and SGX Nifty.

U.S. stocks showed a strong move to the upside during trading on Friday extending the rebound seen in the previous session. The major averages all climbed firmly into positive territory with the techheavy Nasdaq showing a particularly strong advance. The Dow advanced 1.1 percent to settle at 34382 and the tech laden Nasdaq closed higher by 2.3 percent at 13430.

U.K. stocks inched higher on Friday after several U.S. Federal Reserve officials reiterated that the factors putting upward pressure on inflation are temporary and the Fed would maintain ultralow interest rates until stable recovery is seen. The benchmark FTSE 100 went up by 0.7 percent to 7009.

Indian shares ended little changed on Friday as trading resumed after a holiday the previous day on account of IdUlFitr or Ramzan Eid. The benchmark BSE Sensex crawled up 0.1 percent to 48733.
