Indian markets are likely to open flat tracking global indices and SGX Nifty.

US Stocks showed a lack of direction over the course of the trading session on Thursday. The major averages eventually ended the session on opposite sides of the unchanged line. The Dow dropped 103.88 points 0.4 percent to 25439 while the Nasdaq inched up 0.1 percent to 7426.

U.K. markets were modestly higher on Thursday as Chinese trade data easily beat expectations and investors looked ahead to another Brexit vote in Parliament on the Prime Ministers EU withdrawal stance. The FTSE 100 was up by 0.3% to 7210.

On domestic front Indian shares fell for a sixth straight session on Thursday as concerns over recent sharp jump in oil prices and a declining rupee overshadowed investor optimism for progress in the U.S.China trade talks. During the trading session the BSE Sensex fell by 0.4% to 35876.
