Indian markets are likely to open flat tracking global indices and SGX Nifty.

US Stocks once again staged a recovery attempt over the course of the trading session on Friday. The major averages climbed well off worst levels of the day session but still closed slightly lower. The Dow dipped by 0.02% to 23995 and Nasdaq fell 0.2 percent to 6971.

U.K. stocks rose sharply on Friday after GDP data topped forecasts. The FTSE 100 rose by 0.8% to 7001.

On domestic front Indian shares fell on Friday as TCS Indias largest IT firm by revenue reported a mixed set of numbers for the third quarter ended December 31 and investors awaited results from Infosys later in the day for more clarity. During the trading session the BSE Sensex went down by 0.3% to 36009.
