About Silver Oak (India)
Silveroak (India) was incorporated in Nov.'84 as a private limited company and was converted into a public limited company in Dec.'93. It was promoted by Pradeep Jaiswal, Rajendra Jaiswal and Anil Oza.
The company has set up a manufacturing and bottling plant at Pithampur, Madhya Pradesh and the company has facilities for blending and bottling for Indian made foreign liquor (IMFL), with an installed capacity of 2,75,600 cases.
In 1995-96, the company proposed to increase the capacity to 4,05,000 cases. A public issue was made by the company in Jan.'96 to part-finance the project.
The company proposes to diversify due to the drive against alcohol and the resultant enactment of prohibition in the state of Haryana and the ongoing debate on this subject in the states of MP, Rajasthan, and Delhi.
During the year 1999-2000, the company earned a marginal profit of Rs.1.51 lacs as compared to the previous year. The company has applied for Enhancement of Licensed Capacity to 405000 cases (presently 181500 cases) which has been provisionally approved by DIC.
