About Sula Vineyards

Sula Vineyards Limited was originally incorporated as 'Nashik Vintners Limited' issued by the Registrar of Companies, Mumbai on February 26, 2003. Subsequently, name was changed to 'Sula Vineyards Private Limited', pursuant to a Certificate of Incorporation issued by the RoC on August 11, 2014. On the conversion into a Public Limited, name of the Company was changed to 'Sula Vineyards Limited' on February 11, 2022. Promoted by Mr. Rajeev Samant, Sula Vineyards Limited is India's largest wine company, commanding over 60% of the domestic elite & premium wine market. With a diverse portfolio of over 50 labels spanning multiple price points, Sula has firmly established itself as the market leader in every category of wine. The company operates four standalone wine-themed restaurants and tasting rooms, co-located with wineries in Nashik and near Bengaluru, Karnataka. With five state-of-the-art wineries across Maharashtra and Karnataka, Sula produces India's most loved wine brands distributing over 1 million cases annually across India. the Company is principally engaged in the business of manufacture, purchase and sale of premium wine and other alcoholic beverages. The business is classified into two categories, viz production of wine, import of wines and spirits, and distribution of wines and spirits and operation of wine tourism, including vineyard resorts and tasting room. In 2005, the Company launched India's first wine tasting room at their winery in Nashik. In 2008, it launched 'SulaFest', India's first wine themed music festival at the plant in Nashik. It opened the country's first vineyard resort. In 2015, it acquired 50% of share capital of Remy Sula India Private Limited. Artisan Spirits Private Limited (ASPL) was formed as a wholly owned subsidiary of Company. In 2017, the Company acquired winery business unit of Heritage Grape Winery Private Limited (HGWPL) as a going concern through slump sale. In 2018, it acquired 51% of the paid-up share capital of Progressive Alcobev Distributors Private Limited (PADPL), a subsidiary of Company. In 2020, the Company launched Dia', India's first wine-in-a-cane. In 2021, the Company's subsidiary, Artisan Spirits Private Limited (ASPL) acquired the winery unit business of York Winery Private Limited. The Company came up with a Public Issue in December, 2022 through an Offer for Sale of 26,900,530 equity shares of face value of Rs 2 each of the Company amounting to Rs. 960.35 Crores Equity Shares. In 2024, Company acquired N D Wines Private Limited in Nashik and opened the first tasting room outside its own winery premises- Milestone Cellars. The Company has launched a new wine 'Sula Merlot', a new rich velvety red wine in FY 2025. It commissioned the 1.5 million liters low-cost cellar. thereby carrying the capacity expansion at the Domaine Dindori Unit in FY25. It augmented bottling capacity at two units in Maharashtra- the Nashik Winery at The Source and the ND Wines facility. The Company launched its 3rd Resort - The Haven with 50 rooms in 2026. The portfolio has been expanded with the launch of 2 new wines, Sula Muscat Blanc and The Source Chardonnay during the year.
