Quant Small Cap Fund held 94 stocks in January 2026, compared with 97 in December, as per news reports. The scheme’s assets under management stood at ₹27,384 crore as of 31 January 2026. It is benchmarked against the Nifty Smallcap 250 Total Return Index and is run by a team of fund managers. 

Gillette India Added 

Gillette India was the only new stock added during the month. The fund bought 15,998 shares at the end of January. No other new entry was reported in the portfolio for the period. 

Full Exits in 4 Stocks 

The scheme made a complete exit from 4 companies. It sold 4.99 lakh shares of Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC). It also exited Vardhman Textiles by selling about 8.65 lakh shares, India Shelter Finance Corporation with around 8.15 lakh shares, and Sumitomo Chemical India with roughly 2.01 lakh shares. 

Higher Exposure in Select Names 

The fund increased its stake in 5 stocks during the month. It added nearly 70 lakh shares of Best Agrolife, the largest addition in January. It also bought about 30.19 lakh shares of IRB Infrastructure Developers, 9 lakh shares of Poly Medicure, 1.33 lakh shares of Marathon Nextgen Realty, and 23,422 shares of Black Box. 

Stake Reductions and Unchanged Holdings 

Exposure was reduced in 5 stocks, including Anand Rathi WealthBASF IndiaBikaji Foods InternationalMinda Corporation, and Oriental Hotels. 

Holdings in 83 companies were left unchanged. These included names such as Adani Green EnergyAdani PowerBata IndiaCastrol IndiaHDFC Life InsuranceJio Financial ServicesRBL BankReliance Industries, and Zydus Wellness.

Conclusion 

The January portfolio changes included one new addition, 4 exits, and selective increases and reductions, while most holdings remained unchanged.
