Quant Small Cap Fund Adds Stakes in NBCC, Pfizer and 13 Others in November

Quant Small Cap Fund raised stakes in NBCC, Pfizer and added four new stocks in November while trimming three holdings and fully exiting four companies.

Quant Small Cap Fund, the largest scheme under Quant Mutual Fund, recorded significant portfolio activity in November 2025. 

The fund increased its stake in 15 companies, including NBCCPfizerAditya Birla Lifestyle BrandsBASF IndiaBayer CropscienceHFCL, and SUN TV Network

At the same time, it trimmed its holdings in three stocks and fully exited four others as part of its active portfolio management strategy.

Major Additions to the Portfolio

NBCC saw one of the biggest increases in holdings, with the fund adding 60.50 lakh shares during the month, taking its total position to 4.90 crore shares compared to 4.29 crore in October. Pfizer also saw additional buying, with nearly 39,500 shares added.

Among other notable additions, the fund purchased 44.76 lakh shares of HFCL and 41.49 lakh shares of Aditya Birla Lifestyle Brands. Additional buys included Poly MedicureEthosDigitide SolutionsVentive Hospitality, BASF India, Bayer Cropscience, NCC, and SUN TV Network.

Four new stocks entered the portfolio: IRB Infrastructure Developers, Black Box, Graphite India, and Sumitomo Chemical India. IRB Infrastructure Developers saw the largest buying among new entries, with 3.36 crore shares added, followed by 17.83 lakh shares of Black Box, 4.54 lakh shares of Graphite India, and 2.01 lakh shares of Sumitomo Chemical India.

Stocks Trimmed and Complete Exits

The fund trimmed its positions in Bata India, India Shelter Finance Corporation, and Oriental Hotels. Oriental Hotels saw the largest reduction, with 6.42 lakh shares sold, bringing the total to 26.27 lakh in November.

Complete exits were made from Anupam Rasayan India, Delhivery, Indraprastha Medical Corporation, and One Source Specialty Pharma. Delhivery witnessed the biggest sell-off, with 33.28 lakh shares offloaded.

Stable Holdings and Portfolio Structure

Holdings in 71 stocks remained unchanged, including names like Aarti Industries, Adani Power, Castrol India, Gland Pharma, ONGCRILJio Financial Services, and Sula Vineyards. The fund continued to hold 93 stocks in total, consistent with October’s portfolio size.

Investment Approach and Outlook

Quant Small Cap Fund, with an AUM of ₹0,170 crore as of November 28, 2025, aims to generate long-term capital appreciation by investing in high-growth smallcap companies. Managed by a team led by Sandeep Tandon and others, the fund maintains a dynamic approach, shifting allocations based on market conditions and liquidity considerations. 

The fund house highlighted its defensive tilt toward larger caps over the past year to manage risk and reduce drawdowns amid broader market volatility.
