Adani Wind, the wind turbine arm of Adani New Industries Ltd., has clinched fresh orders of 304 megawatts (MW) from independent power producers in India. The orders, placed this month, will see Adani’s 3.3 MW wind turbines installed across four project sites in Gujarat and Tamil Nadu, as per news reports.
The development comes as India accelerates its clean energy transition, with a goal of achieving 500 gigawatts (GW) of renewable power capacity by 2030, of which wind is expected to contribute 100 GW.
As per news reports, Chief Executive Officer Milind Kulkarni confirmed that the new orders have been secured from players such as Fourth Partner Energy Pvt. (165 MW), alongside First Energy and Opera Energy Pvt. (69.3 MW each).
Industry estimates suggest each MW of turbine capacity costs around ₹60 million ($685,230), which values the order pipeline at approximately ₹18.2 billion. While Kulkarni did not disclose the precise contract value, he said the orders underscore the growing trust in Adani’s turbine technology.
Founded in 2016, Adani Wind is now preparing to step up deliveries, targeting 1.25 GW of turbine supply to external customers by March 2026. The company shipped its first set of blades to Germany earlier this month and is actively evaluating opportunities in Australia, Brazil, the Philippines, Vietnam, and other Southeast Asian markets.
These expansion efforts align with a global push towards net-zero targets, opening up opportunities in international clean energy supply chains.
India’s wind turbine manufacturing capacity stands at about 18 GW, spread across 14 companies, including Suzlon Energy Ltd., GE India Industrial Pvt., and Siemens Gamesa Renewable Power Pvt. Chinese firm Goldwind Science & Technology Co. remains the world’s largest supplier. Back home, Suzlon has already announced 1.9 GW of projects in 2025, cementing its lead in the domestic market.
Alongside turbine manufacturing, the Adani Group is also expanding renewable generation, with Adani Green Energy Ltd. building the world’s largest renewable energy plant of 30 GW at Khavda, Gujarat.

The latest 304 MW turbine orders reinforce Adani Wind’s strengthening position in India’s renewable sector, while its overseas foray marks a bold next step in its growth trajectory. As CEO, Milind Kulkarni highlighted, the company’s strategy is not only about meeting India’s clean energy goals but also about establishing Adani Wind as a global supplier at a time when nations worldwide are scaling up investments in wind power.
