Alkem Laboratories Ltd has informed the stock exchanges that its manufacturing facility at Baddi, Himachal Pradesh, has received a European Union Good Manufacturing Practice (EU GMP) compliance certificate. The certificate was issued after an inspection conducted by the German health authority.
The disclosure was made through a regulatory filing dated 14 March 2026.
The inspection was carried out by the Department of Pharmacy (Human Medicines), Germany between 4 November and 10 November 2025 at the company’s Baddi manufacturing unit.
Following the inspection, the authority issued a “Certificate of GMP Compliance of a Manufacturer”, confirming that the facility complies with the manufacturing and quality standards required under EU regulatory guidelines.
The certificate will remain valid for 3 years from the date of inspection, according to the company’s filing.
The company said the disclosure was made under Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015, which requires listed entities to inform exchanges about material developments.
Alkem had earlier informed the exchanges on 10 November 2025 that the German health authority was carrying out an EU GMP inspection at the Baddi facility. The latest filing confirms the outcome of that inspection.
EU GMP inspections assess whether pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities meet the standards required for producing medicines intended for the European Union market. The checks typically cover manufacturing practices, quality systems, documentation, and facility conditions.
Companies exporting pharmaceutical products to the EU are required to maintain compliance with these standards and undergo inspections by authorised European regulators.
