Adani Group companies gained after it issued a filing on Jan 24, 2026, to address media reports that the US SEC was seeking court approval to serve summons to Gautam Adani and Sagar Adadi via email. 

Adani Group Clarification on US SEC Summons 

The filing states that none of the Adani Group entities, including Adani Power, Adani Enterprises, Adani Ports and Adani Green Energy, are parties to any US SEC legal action. It further confirms that no allegations have been made against the companies themselves. 

Background of US SEC Request 

As per Reuters report, the US SEC approached a federal court in Brooklyn after two prior attempts to serve summons through diplomatic channels were rejected by Indian authorities. The regulator cited procedural concerns under the Hague Convention and sought alternative service by email.

Share Prices Gains After Clarification 

Following the clarification, Adani Enterprises gained 4.3%, Adani Ports gained 3.42%, Adani Green Energy gained over 5% and Adani Power gained over 2.2% in the current trading session. 

Regulatory Filing Details 

The exchange filing referenced an earlier clarification dated Nov 21, 2024, which addressed a similar Bloomberg report. It noted that the contents of the recent media article do not trigger disclosure requirements under SEBI regulations. 

Conclusion 

Adani Group reiterated that it is not involved in the US SEC proceedings and that no allegations are directed at the company. The clarification aims to address market speculation arising from the reported summons request.
