On Wednesday, the benchmark indices were trading flat with Sensex down around 25 points or 0.04% at 65,453.60 and the Nifty-50 down around 4 points or 0.016% at 19,386.10. About 1,973 shares have advanced, 1,030 declined, and 118 are unchanged on the BSE.
The top Sensex gainers were IndusInd Bank, ICICI Bank and Asian Paints, whereas the top Sensex losers were Wipro Ltd, Housing Development Finance Corporation Ltd and HDFC Bank.
The BSE Industrials Index was the top gaining among the sectorial indices and BSE Realty Index was the top losing sector. The BSE Industrials Index soared 0.65%, led by Genus Power Infrastructures Ltd and Shivalik Bimetal Controls Ltd, while the BSE Realty Index was down 0.55% dragged down by Godrej Properties Ltd and Macrotech Developers Ltd.
The indices in the broader markets were trading in the green, with the BSE Mid-cap index up 0.51% and the BSE Small-cap index up 0.59%, respectively. The top mid-cap gainers were Samvardhana Motherson International Ltd and Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd while the top small-cap gainers were Genus Power Infrastructure Ltd.
