The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has announced a new housing scheme called the Karamyogi Awas Yojana. It aims to provide affordable homes to government and PSU employees.
Under this scheme, more than 3,500 ready-to-move flats will be offered in Narela, Delhi. The announcement comes as part of DDA’s ongoing efforts to support accessible housing and encourage organised residential clusters for government staff.
According to early information, the registration process for the scheme is expected to begin in December. DDA will offer flats across three pockets in Sector A1–A4 of Narela. The units will be available in different categories, including High-Income Group (HIG), Middle-Income Group (MIG) and Economically Weaker Section (EWS) to cater to various income levels.
Employees from central and state government departments, public sector undertakings, hospitals and other government-linked institutions will be eligible to apply for the scheme.
The Karamyogi Awas Yojana will be launched in two phases.
In addition, 1,552 flats will be offered in Pocket 13, consisting of 352 HIG units, 776 MIG units and 424 EWS units. All the flats in the scheme have already been constructed.
One of the scheme’s main attractions is a 25% rebate that will be offered across all categories. While the exact pricing of the flats has not yet been announced, the discount is expected to significantly reduce the cost burden for eligible applicants.
The registration process is likely to take place entirely online. DDA is preparing the necessary systems, including brochures and the online application portal. Applicants may need to provide:
