On Thursday, the benchmark indices were trading flat with Sensex up around 83 points or 0.13% at 62,705 and the Nifty trading up by 27 points or 0.18% at 18,568. About 2,236 shares have advanced, 1,102 declined, and 148 are unchanged on the BSE. 

Top gainers and losers On BSE Sensex Index are as follows:
The top Sensex gainers were Hindustan Unilever Ltd, Tata Consultancy Services Ltd and Asian Paints Ltd whereas the top Sensex losers were Maruti Suzuki India Ltd, Kotak Mahindra Bank and Bharti Airtel Ltd.

The BSE Realty Index was the top gaining among the sectorial indices and BSE Metals Index was the top losing sector. The BSE Realty Index soared 1.30%, led by Macrotech Developers Ltd and Oberoi Realty Ltd while the BSE Metals Index was down 0.64% dragged down by Coal India Ltd and Jindal Steel & Power Ltd. 

The indices in the broader markets were trading higher, with the BSE Mid-cap index up 0.42% and the BSE Small-cap index up 0.81%, respectively. The top mid-cap gainers were Apollo Hospitals Enterprises Ltd and Laurus Labs Ltd while the top small-cap gainers were Centum Electronics Ltd and EPL Ltd.

In the pre-opening session, these 3 stocks were trending: Adani Transmission, Brightcom Group Ltd and Jindal Worldwide Ltd.
