Automotive spare parts platform Partnr plans to increase the number of dark stores it operates in India to between 350 and 400 over the next 2 years.
The company currently runs 135 dark stores across 40 cities. The proposed expansion would almost triple its existing network and broaden its reach.
Partnr’s dark stores act as local stock points for spare parts, largely serving two-wheeler repair workshops. These facilities are designed to support quicker supply of commonly used components.
The company has not disclosed timelines city-wise, but the rollout is expected to be spread over the 2-year period.
India’s 2-wheeler spare parts aftermarket is estimated at around ₹35,000 crore a year. The segment remains fragmented, with a large number of small distributors and informal supply channels.
Workshops often deal with inconsistent product quality and the circulation of counterfeit parts, which affects repair timelines and service reliability.
The increasing adoption of electric 2-wheelers has added complexity to the aftermarket. Mechanics servicing EVs often depend on original equipment manufacturer channels for spare parts.
Outside these networks, availability remains limited, especially for independent garages and smaller workshops.
Partnr distributes spare parts for both internal combustion engine and electric two-wheelers through what it describes as a mechanic-first aftermarket network.
The model is built around supplying verified components directly to workshops, using its dark stores to manage inventory and local delivery.
The company has recently launched its own range of Partnr Genuine Spares & Lubricants. These products currently account for about 4% of total revenue.
According to the company, the share of its own branded products is expected to rise to 30-35% over the next two years, alongside the expansion of its store network.
By increasing the number of dark stores, Partnr is to reduce dependence on multiple layers of distributors. The network is intended to support more predictable stocking and faster replenishment for workshops operating in different regions.

With a rise in dark stores and a higher contribution from company-branded products, Partnr is to scale its distribution network over the next two years. The expansion aligns with changes in demand patterns within the two-wheeler aftermarket.
