
Yes Bank has announced the appointment of Mr. S Anantharaman as its new Chief Risk Officer (CRO), effective April 1, 2026. This strategic move is aimed at strengthening the bank’s risk management capabilities.
Mr. S Anantharaman brings over 30 years of experience in banking and financial services to Yes Bank. His expertise spans enterprise risk management, credit strategy, portfolio quality management, fraud risk, and regulatory governance.
As a Chartered Accountant (ACA) and Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), he is well-equipped to lead the bank's risk management initiatives.
Prior to joining Yes Bank, Mr. Anantharaman served as Group Chief Risk Officer at Jio Financial Services. In this role, he established a comprehensive risk management framework across various financial services businesses, including lending, payments, insurance broking, and asset management.
Mr. Anantharaman's career includes significant roles at Bank of Baroda, where he was the Chief Risk Officer. He played a pivotal role in enhancing the bank’s risk management framework and improving asset quality and portfolio resilience.
His leadership experience extends to HDFC Bank and L&T Finance Holdings, where he managed large corporate and retail credit portfolios and implemented advanced data-driven risk management frameworks.
