V-Mart Retail Share Price Gains Over 8% on Strong Q4 Business Update

V-Mart Retail has witnessed a notable 8% increase in its share price following a strong business update for the fourth quarter of the financial year 2025-26.

Q4 Revenue Growth and Store Expansion
For the quarter ending March 31, 2026, V-Mart Retail reported revenue from operations of ₹971 crore, marking a 24% increase compared to ₹780 crore in the same quarter of the previous year.
The company also achieved a same-store sales growth (SSSG) of 12%, with V-Mart stores contributing 12% and Unlimited stores 9% to this growth.
During the quarter, V-Mart opened 29 new stores and closed 6, resulting in a net addition of 23 stores. This expansion brought the total number of operational stores to 577 as of March 31, 2026.
The company achieved its highest-ever annual store additions, with 92 new openings and 12 closures.
Geographical Expansion
The 29 new stores opened in various regions, including 11 in Uttar Pradesh, 4 in Tamil Nadu, and 3 each in Bihar and West Bengal.
Additionally, 2 stores were opened in Jharkhand, Jammu and Kashmir, and Rajasthan, with 1 store each in Chhattisgarh and Uttarakhand.
