
Powergrid Narela Transmission Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd., has filed a Regulation 30 disclosure with the NSE and BSE confirming the completion of a tariff based competitive bidding project aimed at strengthening the inter‑state transmission system.
The project was fully commissioned with effect from December 7, 2025. A Notification for Commercial Operation (DOCO) was received via email on February 24, 2026, confirming the operational status of the scheme.
The scheme implements the Transmission System Strengthening initiative for the evaluation of power from Solar Energy Zones in Rajasthan, covering a capacity of 8.1 GW under Phase II Part G. The mandate involved the development of new transmission corridors to support the integration of solar generation.
While the exact project cost has not been disclosed, the commissioning aligns with the company’s goal of expanding inter‑state transmission capacity to accommodate renewable energy. The operational readiness is expected to enhance grid reliability in the northern region.
