PNB Housing Finance share price jumped 11% on Tuesday, April 21, after the company reported a strong Q4FY26 performance. The rally was driven by robust profit growth and improving asset quality, despite some pressure on margins.
The company posted a net profit of ₹656 crore for the quarter, up 19% year-on-year from ₹500 crore in the same period last year, supported by better operating leverage.
Net interest income (NII) rose 11% YoY to ₹810 crore, broadly in line with expectations. However, other income declined 10% to ₹120 crore, while operating expenses increased 17% to ₹250 crore.
Total income grew 6.6% YoY to ₹2,172 crore. Meanwhile, net interest margin (NIM) softened to 3.69% from 3.75% a year ago, indicating mild pressure on spreads.
For the full year, the company reported a net profit of ₹2,291 crore in FY26, marking an 18% increase from ₹1,936 crore in FY25.
Asset quality remained a key positive. Gross NPAs declined to 0.93% from 1.04% quarter-on-quarter, while net NPAs improved to 0.57% from 0.68%.
Assets under management (AUM) grew 13% YoY to ₹90,921 crore. The retail loan book expanded 16% to ₹86,946 crore, while the company also resumed corporate lending after a gap of nearly four years.
The company announced a final dividend of ₹8 per equity share (face value ₹10) for FY26, adding to investor sentiment.
The PNB share price has gained 24% over the past one month, though it remains down over 2% on a one-year basis. The stock is currently about 12% below its 52-week high of ₹1,141.85, while it had touched a low of ₹730 in March 2026. Over the last five years, it has delivered multibagger returns of around 240%.

The sharp rise in PNB share price reflects investor confidence in the company’s improving fundamentals, particularly profit growth and asset quality. While margin pressure remains a watchpoint, steady AUM growth and a healthier balance sheet support the overall outlook.
