Mahindra & Mahindra has raised prices across its domestic tractor portfolio, with the revision taking effect from April 8, 2026. Its group brand, Swaraj Tractors, will implement a similar increase from April 21, 2026.
As per an announcement made on April 7, 2026, the changes apply to tractors sold in India. The company said the increase will vary depending on the model and the region, without specifying exact percentages.
The revision comes amid continued increases in input costs. Commodity prices, including key raw materials used in manufacturing, have remained elevated, adding pressure on production expenses.
This has led several manufacturers in the automotive and farm equipment segments to adjust pricing in recent months to offset higher costs.
The development shows broader trends in the tractor industry, where pricing decisions remain closely tied to cost structures and rural demand conditions.
Demand for tractors typically tracks farm income and agricultural output, with monsoon expectations playing a role in purchase cycles. These factors continue to influence sales visibility for manufacturers.
Mahindra & Mahindra remains the largest tractor manufacturer globally by volume and has a presence in India’s farm equipment market. Its tractor range covers multiple horsepower categories suited to different agricultural needs.
Swaraj, established in 1974 and based in Punjab, operates within Mahindra’s farm equipment business.
The brand offers tractors ranging from 15 HP to 65 HP, along with harvesters and related machinery. It became part of the group following the acquisition of Punjab Tractors Ltd in 2007.

As of April 8, 2026, 10:02 am, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd share price was trading at ₹3,205.20, a 6.61% increase from the previous closing price.
With both brands revising prices within April, the changes indicate sustained input cost pressures in the sector, even as demand continues to depend on rural conditions and seasonal factors.
