Adani Power Limited (APL) has announced the incorporation of a wholly owned subsidiary named Adani Atomic Energy Limited (AAEL).
The company received the Certificate of Incorporation from the Central Registration Centre under the Registrar of Companies on February 11, 2026, confirming the formation of the new entity in India.
AAEL will operate as a fully owned arm of Adani Power, making it a related party under regulatory norms. The move signals Adani Power’s intent to explore opportunities in the nuclear and atomic energy sector as part of its broader energy business expansion strategy.
Adani Atomic Energy Limited has been incorporated to operate in the nuclear energy industry. The company’s business objective includes generating, transmitting, and distributing electricity derived from nuclear and atomic energy sources.
The establishment of AAEL allows Adani Power to potentially participate in future nuclear energy projects, subject to regulatory approvals and sectoral policies in India. At present, no additional governmental or regulatory approvals were required for the incorporation of the subsidiary.
The newly incorporated subsidiary has been formed through cash consideration. AAEL has an authorised share capital of ₹5,00,000, divided into 50,000 equity shares with a face value of ₹10 each.
Adani Power holds 100% of the shareholding in AAEL, thereby retaining complete ownership and management control of the subsidiary. No share swap arrangement has been involved in the formation process.
On February 12, 2026, Adani Power share price (NSE: ADANIPOWER) opened at ₹150.47, touching the day’s low at ₹149.00, as of 10:17 AM on the NSE.

The incorporation of Adani Atomic Energy Limited marks a strategic step for Adani Power as it evaluates opportunities within India’s evolving energy landscape. While the subsidiary is at an early stage, its formation indicates the company’s interest in diversifying energy sources beyond conventional thermal and renewable segments. Future developments will likely depend on regulatory frameworks and potential project opportunities in the nuclear power sector.
