Kotak Mahindra Asset Management has launched the Kotak Gold Silver Passive Fund of Fund – Regular (G). The New Fund Offer (NFO) opened on October 6, 2025 and will close on October 20, 2025. After the allotment, the scheme will remain open-ended, allowing daily purchase and redemption of units.
The stated aim of the fund is to provide long-term capital appreciation by investing in units of the Kotak Gold ETF and Kotak Silver ETF. The fund document notes that there is no guarantee that this objective will be achieved.
This scheme is listed under the “Others” category and falls within the sub-category of Fund of Funds – Gold. It follows a passive structure, giving investors combined access to gold and silver ETFs rather than direct investment in the metals themselves.
The minimum investment required is ₹100, with additional investments allowed in multiples of ₹100. The scheme has no exit load, and the Net Asset Value (NAV) will be calculated on a daily basis.
The fund comes with a Very High risk rating, reflecting the volatility linked to precious metal markets. Rohit Tandon has been appointed as the fund manager. He will oversee allocation across the gold and silver ETFs.
Being an open-ended fund, units can be repurchased or redeemed on any business day. This provides flexibility to investors who may wish to enter or exit the scheme at different points in time.
