In April 2026, Bharti Airtel, Reliance Industries Limited (RIL), and Infosys were among the top picks for mutual fund managers, with over 600 schemes investing in these prominent stocks.

Topping the list is HDFC Bank, owned by 751 funds, holding 205 crore shares worth ₹2.60 lakh crore. This preference reflects investor confidence in the banking sector. 

ICICI Bank followed closely, with 729 funds holding 377 crore shares valued at ₹2.91 lakh crore. SBI was held by 708 funds, with 125 crore shares worth ₹1.34 lakh crore, indicating strong investor interest in banking stocks. 

Bharti Airtel's Market Presence 

With 697 mutual fund schemes holding shares, Bharti Airtel represented a significant choice for fund managers. With 74.15 crore shares worth ₹1.39 lakh crore, the telecommunications giant remains a preferred investment. 

RIL and Other Major Holdings 

RIL was held by 663 funds with 130 crore shares, valued at ₹1.86 lakh crore. Axis Bank attracted 648 funds, holding 102.66 crore shares valued at ₹1.29 lakh crore. 

Infosys' Strong Investment Appeal 

Infosys drew interest from 631 mutual fund schemes, holding 90.87 crore shares worth ₹1.07 lakh crore. This highlights the IT sector’s appeal to fund managers.
